Honig Estate
Founded in 1964 as a grape grower, the Honig story really starts in 1984 when 22 year-old Michael Honig dropped out of college in order to take over the family business.By spending his mornings managing the winery and his afternoons selling door-to-door to San Francisco restaurants, Michael has carefully grown the business to one that is respected and represented across the US and in 25 countries internationally.Still a family business, Honig is also a leader in sustainability, chairing the committee responsible for creating a Sustainability certification for Californian wineries, being 100% solar powered since 2006 and using integrated pest management systems.Specialists in Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, they are proud to produce wines that are consistently highly rated by critics and yet deliver some of the best value seen in the Napa Valley.
